Enjoy a short safari that takes you from Dar-es-Salaam on a drive over the Uluguru Mountains, to Mikumi for game viewing drive in the park. Mikumi National Park abuts the northern border of Africa’s biggest game reserve – the Selous – and is transected by the surfaced road between Dar es Salaam and Iringa. It is thus the most accessible part of a 75,000 square kilometre (47,000 square mile) tract of wilderness that stretches east almost as far as the Indian Ocean.
Clients will be picked at the place of staying in Dar es Salaam and driven to Mikumi National Park over the Uluguru Mountains, with game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and overnight will be at the Tanapa Bandas inside the park.
Another game viewing drive in the park. Animals commonly found Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, and elephants. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, lunch will take place at picnic site. After lunch, you will enjoy a game drive en route back to Dar es Salaam, where you will arrive late evening and drop off at your hotel or airport.
